Our services

Services & pricing

All prices are starting prices for a typical job. Every job is priced individually.

Monthly bookkeeping

Your receipts, invoices and bank feed reconciled every month, so the picture is always current rather than rebuilt in a panic each January.

Good for

Sole traders and small limited companies who want it simply handled.

from £120/mo Get quote →

VAT returns

Prepared, checked with you, and filed under Making Tax Digital. I watch the threshold too, so registration never sneaks up on you.

Good for

VAT-registered businesses, and those getting close to the threshold.

from £75/qtr Get quote →

Self-assessment

Your personal tax return, done early rather than in the last week of January. You see the figure owed with time left to plan for it.

Good for

Sole traders, landlords, and company directors.

from £250 Get quote →

Payroll

Payslips, RTI submissions and pension filings run on the same day each month, including the years where nothing changes at all.

Good for

Anyone with staff, including a single director on the payroll.

from £6/payslip Get quote →

Catch-up & clean-up

Months or years behind? I unpick it, reconcile it and hand it back straight. No lectures about how it got that way.

Good for

Businesses behind on their books, or facing a deadline they will miss.

Software setup & training

Getting you set up on Xero or QuickBooks properly, then an hour or two showing you the five things you will actually use.

Anyone starting out, or moving off spreadsheets.

Common questions

Are you an accountant?
No, and it is worth being clear about the difference. I keep your records straight through the year, handle VAT, payroll and self-assessment, and make sure nothing is filed late. Statutory year-end accounts for a limited company are an accountant's job. I work alongside yours, or can introduce you to one.
My books are a mess and I am behind. Is that a problem?
It is genuinely the most common reason people call me, and it is fixable. I will look at what state things are in, tell you what it will cost to bring up to date, and get on with it. Nobody gets a lecture about the shoebox.
Do I have to switch software?
Only if the one you are on is actively getting in your way. I work in Xero and QuickBooks most often, and I can pick up a spreadsheet if that is genuinely what suits your size of business.
How do you charge?
A fixed monthly fee for ongoing work, agreed before I start, so the bill is the same every month and does not move because a month was busy. One-off pieces are quoted up front.
